Your place for the best Photoshop tutorials around!
how do you make the brushes look like that? mine are just blunt at the ends, no matter what i do i can't make them fade out at the ends
First, make sure the Control for Size Jitter is set to Pen Pressure. Do you see a little /!\ icon?

it is on pen pressure, and yes i do see a an icon lik that
If you are using a mouse, the warning icon will show to tell you that function isn't going to work since you aren't using a pressure sensitive device. If you are using a tablet or other pressure sensitive device and the warning icon shows, try selecting a brush with the stylus pen. If the warning icon still shows, open the control panel or utility program that manages the tablet to make sure the tablet is properly installed. You may simply need to update the driver.
